Texas Standards of Practice Module

The purpose of this course is to create a 24-hour education course on the Texas Standards of Practice (SOPs) that inspectors can take to meet their licensing education requirements.

This course will provide inspectors in-depth knowledge of each system that is discussed in the Standards of Practice. The systems covered by the Standards of Practice are as follows:

• Structural.
• Electrical.
• Heating.
• Ventilation.
• Cooling.
• Plumbing.
• Appliances.
• Optional Systems.

Each system includes material on Texas unique reporting requirements and Texas exclusions to the Standards of Practice.

The course also features quizzes after or throughout each lesson that are designed to provide a practical knowledge of Texas Standards of Practice for inspectors.
